About Us

The Paul A. and Linda S. Spangler Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable foundation based in San Jose, California. Founded in 1998 by Paul and Linda Spangler, the Foundation focuses grant awards and projects on traditionally underserved communities, including children, seniors and animals.

During the next five years, P.A.L.S. Foundation is focused on cultivating professional associations with other socially conscious agencies that are seeking financial or organizational support. P.A.L.S. Foundation is continuing to support causes regarding children and animals on both a local and global scale, and is exploring other issues to include in our programmatic scope.

Paul Spangler
Paul Spangler was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in an active military family. His father, Dr. Paul E. Spangler was a United States Navy Surgeon whose career kept Paul’s mother, Clara and three older sisters on the go, living at various Navy bases around the country.

Linda Spangler
Linda Spangler was born and raised in Pennsylvania to parents who were involved in community, service to their country and conservation activities. She earned a BA degree in Anthropology from Arizona State University and spent her professional career working first in the environmental health arena in Montgomery County, Maryland and later as Director of Environmental Health Services for Santa Clara County, California.

Jennifer Wallace
Jennifer Wallace was born in suburban Maryland and moved to San Jose, California in her early teens. Jennifer was active in community and philanthropic activities from an early age, holding leadership positions in various civic organizations in high school and college. After graduating from Smith College in 1997 as a Dean’s list and First Group Scholar, Jennifer returned to the San Francisco Bay Area where she began her career in marketing and business development.
